IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL Of THE ARMED FORCES OF ISRAEL FROM TERRITORIES<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

BELONGING TO JORDAN, SYRIA AND THE UNITED ARAB REPUBLIC<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The General Assembly,<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  <\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having discussed<\/i> the grave situation in the Middle East,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Noting<\/i> that the armed forces of Israel occupy areas including territories belonging to Jordan, Syria and the United Arab Republic,<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span><\/i>1.\t<\/span>Calls upon <\/i>Israel to withdraw immediately all its forces to the positions they held prior to 5 June 1967;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span><\/i>2.\t<\/span>Requests <\/i>the Secretary-General to ensure compliance with the present resolution and to secure, with the assistance of the Â鶹APP Truce Supervision Organization established by the Security Council, strict observance by all parties of the provisions of the General Armistice Agreements between Israel and the Arab countries;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span><\/i>3.\t<\/span>Further requests<\/i> the Secretary-General to designate a personal representative who will assist him in securing compliance with the present resolution and be in contact with the parties concerned;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>4.\t<\/span>Calls upon <\/i>all State to render every assistance to the Secretary-General in the implementation of the present resolution in accordance with the Charter of the Â鶹APP;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span><\/i>5.\t<\/span>Requests<\/i> the Secretary-General to report urgently to the General Assembly and to the Security Council on compliance with the terms of the present resolution;<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  <\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span><\/i>6.\t<\/span>Requests<\/i> that the Security Council consider all aspects of the situation in the Middle East and seek peaceful ways and means for the solution of all problems – legal, political and humanitarian – through appropriate channels, guided by the principles of the Charter of the Â鶹APP, in particular those contained in Articles 2 and 33.<\/p><\/div>\n
