\t<\/span>At its 39th plenary meeting, on 25 July 2002, the Economic and Social Council, taking note of Commission on Human Rights <\/span>resolution 2002\/8<\/a> of 15 April 2002, <\/span>1<\/u><\/span>\/ <\/span>approved the Commission’s decision to request the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, acting as a monitoring mechanism, to follow-up the implementation of the recommendations appearing in the report of the Â鶹APP High Commissioner for Human Rights <\/span>2<\/u><\/span>\/ as well as those appearing in the report of the Human Rights Inquiry Commission established pursuant to Commission <\/span>resolution S-5\/1<\/a> of 19 October 2000, <\/span>3<\/u><\/span>\/ and to submit reports thereon to the General Assembly at its fifty-seventh session and to the Commission at its fifty-ninth session.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
