At the same meeting, in accordance with the understanding reached in its prior consultations, the Council decided to extend an invitation, under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, to Mr. Danilo Türk, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs.<\/p><\/div>\n

At its 4824th meeting, on 15 September 2003, the Council decided to invite the representatives of Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the Sudan, Tunisia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates to participate, without vote, in the discussion of the item entitled:<\/p><\/div>\n

At the same meeting, the Council also decided to extend an invitation to the Permanent Observer of Palestine to the Âé¶¹APP, in response to his request dated 12 September 2003 addressed to the President of the Security Council,<\/span>117 <\/sup><\/span>in accordance with the provisional rules of procedure of the Council and its previous practice in that regard.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

At the same meeting, in accordance with the understanding reached in its prior consultations, the Council further decided to extend an invitation, under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, to Mr. Terje Roed-Larsen, Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and Personal Representative of the Secretary-General.<\/p><\/div>\n

At the same meeting, in response to the request dated 12 September 2003 from the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Âé¶¹APP addressed to the President of the Security Council,<\/span>118 <\/sup><\/span>the Council decided to extend an invitation, under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, to Mr. Yahya Mahmassani, Permanent Observer of the League of Arab States to the Âé¶¹APP.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
