The draft resolution is entitled “Strengthening the security and safety of Â鶹APP operations, staff and premises”. The Fifth Committee adopted the draft resolution without a vote.  Mr. Eljy <\/strong>(Syrian Arab Republic) (spoke in Arabic<\/i> ): My delegation joined the consensus on the adoption of resolution entitled “Financing of the Â鶹APP Disengagement Observer Force” and voted in favour of the resolution entitled “Financing of the Â鶹APP Interim Force in Lebanon”, based on the principle, which my delegation has always supported, that the financing of Â鶹APP peacekeeping forces should be borne by the aggressor, which was the reason for the establishment of this Force, in keeping with the principles contained in General Assembly resolution 1874 (S-IV) of 27 June 1963. <\/p><\/div>\n

  The Acting President<\/strong>: <\/strong>The General Assembly has before it a letter dated 10 June 2004 from the Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People addressed to the President of the General Assembly (A\/58\/841). <\/p><\/div>\n

  In the letter, the Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People informs the President of the General Assembly of the decision of the Government of Hungary to resign as of 1 May 2004 from the membership of the Committee. <\/p><\/div>\n

  May I take it that it is the wish of the General Assembly to take note of the decision of the Government of Hungary to resign as of 1 May 2004 from the membership of the Committee? <\/p><\/div>\n
