Identical letters dated 13 November 2012 from the Permanent Representative of Israel to the Â鶹APP addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council<\/strong> <\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/span> Today, 13 November 2012, the situation is grave in southern Israel.<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Hamas continues to use Gaza as a launching pad for constant and appalling attacks targeting Israeli civilians, firing three more rockets into our communities since I last wrote to you yesterday evening. One million people in southern Israel are living their lives facing daily assaults from a brutal terrorist army, while much of the international community remains silent.<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

 Israel withdrew from Gaza to the Green Lines, while Hamas has crossed all Red Lines, firing more than 12,000 rockets into the heart of Israeli population centres. <\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

 In letter after letter and speech after speech to the Security Council, the Secretary-General and other bodies of the Â鶹APP, I have conveyed the great danger of the continuous rocket fire from Gaza. <\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

 No nation, no people and no Government can accept the daily targeting of its cities and its citizens. This will not continue. There are going to be consequences. The international community should fully understand that Israel is prepared to take all necessary measures to protect its citizens.<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

 I should be grateful if you would have the present letter distributed as a document of the Security Council.<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
