2002\/244.\t<\/span> Human rights situation of the Lebanese detainees in Israel<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>At its 39th plenary meeting, on 25 July 2002, the Economic and Social Council, taking note of Commission on Human Rights <\/span>resolution 2002\/10<\/a> of 19 April 2002, <\/span>1<\/u><\/span>\/<\/span> endorsed the decision of the Commission to request the Secretary-General:<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>(a)\t<\/span>To bring Commission resolution 2002\/10 to the attention of the Government of Israel and to call upon it to comply with its provisions;<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>(b)\t<\/span>To report to the General Assembly at its fifty-seventh session and to the Commission at its fifty-ninth session on the results of his efforts in this regard.<\/p><\/div>\n
