ADDRESSED TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>I have the honour to refer to the command of the Â鶹APP Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\t<\/span>Following the usual consultations, it is my intention to appoint Major General Seth Kofi Obeng of Ghana to the post of Force Commander of UNIFIL.  He will replace Major General Jioje Konousi Konrote of Fiji, who completed his tour of duty on 30 September 1999.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>I should be grateful if you would bring this matter to the attention of the members of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
