2256 (ES-V).  The situation in the Middle East<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The General Assembly,<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having considered <\/i>the grave situation in the Middle East,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Considering <\/i>that the Security Council continues to be seized of the problem,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Bearing in mind <\/i>the resolutions adopted and the proposals considered during the fifth emergency special session of the General Assembly,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>1.\t<\/span>Requests <\/i>the Secretary-General to forward the records of the fifth emergency special session of the General Assembly to the Security Council in order to facilitate the resumption by the Council, as a matter of urgency, of its consideration of the tense situation in the Middle East;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>2.\t<\/span>Decides <\/i>to adjourn the fifth emergency special session temporarily and to authorize the President of the General Assembly to reconvene the session as and when necessary.<\/p><\/div>\n
