PRESIDENT TRUMP: \u00a0Well, thank you very much. \u00a0It’s great to have Prime Minister Netanyahu with us today, a friend of mine for many years. \u00a0And it’s a real honor, I have to say.<\/p>\n

We’re going to be discussing many things; among them, peace between the Palestinians and Israel — it will be a fantastic achievement. \u00a0We are giving it an absolute go. \u00a0I think there’s a good chance that it could happen. \u00a0Most people would say there’s no chance whatsoever.<\/p>\n

I actually think with the capability of Bibi and, frankly, the other side, I really think we have a chance. \u00a0I think Israel would like to see it, and I think the Palestinians would like to see it. \u00a0And I can tell you that the Trump administration would like to see it.<\/p>\n

So we’re working very hard on it. \u00a0We’ll see what happens. \u00a0Historically, people say it can’t happen. \u00a0I say it can happen.<\/p>\n

As you said, we will discuss the way we can seize the opportunity for peace between Israel and the Palestinians and between Israel and the Arab World. \u00a0I think these things go together, and we look forward to talking about how we can advance both.<\/p>\n
