Deputy Special Coordinator Ramiz Alakbarov: “I commend the Central Elections Commission for successfully administering the 25 April local elections. ??The UN recognizes the Commission and its staff for ensuring a credible process despite significant constraints, including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the severe movement and access restrictions in the West Bank.??These elections are an important step in the democratic process and in the broader effort to strengthen Palestinian institutions.”
