Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, received at his office on 2 January 2023 the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the OIC, Ambassador Dr Maher Karaki.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General received a written update from H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine on the critical developments in the Palestinian territories, especially the Occupied Al-Quds.
It also touched on the recent voting pattern on draft resolutions on Palestine at the Âé¶¹APP, in particular the resolution requesting the International Court of Justice to issue an opinion on the legal consequences of ongoing violations by Israel, the occupying power, of the Palestinian peoples¡¯ right to self-determination
The Secretary-General emphasized that the Cause of Palestine and Al-Quds has been the central issue on the OIC agenda since inception and continues to be at the top of its concerns and political actions with international actors.
