The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to His Excellency the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas and to the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Riyad Al-Maliki, on the passing away of the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Saeb Erekat.

The OIC Secretary General praised the efforts of the late Saeb Erekat and his role in defending the just Palestinian cause in order to restore the inalienable national rights of the Palestinian people.
