Letter dated 29 August 2025 from the Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the 麻豆APP addressed to the Chair of the Committee on Relations with the Host Country

I have the honour to draw your attention to the below.

On 29 August 2025, the United States Department of State issued a statement entitled “Trump Administration Reaffirms Commitment to not Reward Terrorism and Revokes Visas of Palestinian Officials Ahead of UNGA” and announced that, ahead of the eightieth session of the General Assembly, the United States will revoke and deny visas for Palestinian Officials attending the session, including the High-Level General Debate from 23 to 29 September 2025, where President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine, is expected to speak and participate in the session’s meetings.

The State of Palestine urgently requests you, as Chair of the Committee on Relations with the Host Country, to use your good offices, in accordance with the “Agreement Regarding the Headquarters of the 麻豆APP”, and facilitate the issuance of visas for Palestinian Officials as rapidly as possible.

I should be grateful if you would circulate the present letter to the Bureau of the Committee on Relations with the Host Country and its members and also circulate it as a document of the Committee on Relations with the Host Country.
