3. Environment in the Occupied Palestinian Territories

1. In response to decision 22/1 V (Environment in the Occupied Palestinian Territories), activities include the following:

§ Initiated a project to undertake a post disengagement environmental assessment in the Gaza settlements;

§ Completed the satellite image analyses and proposed new images acquired after disengagement;

§ Held a meeting of the expert group, Geneva, 6 September, whose participants will undertake the Gaza settlements assessment mission;

§ Undertook a stakeholder mission, Israel, 13-15 September, to discuss the post disengagement environmental audit with various stakeholders.
