Annan Supports UNRWA Head on Missile Allegations
4 October — The Secretary-General has no reason whatever to doubt UNRWA Commissioner-General Peter Hansen's conclusions that the allegations that an UNRWA ambulance driver loaded a missile onto a UN vehicle were incorrect. The Secretary-General intends to call in Israel's Ambassador to the Â鶹APP, Dan Gillerman, to ask what evidence Israel has to support the allegations and to let him know of his decision to launch an investigation to be conducted by a UN team which will leave New York tomorrow.
