SECRETARY-GENERAL HAILS SALAM FAYYAD'S TENURE AS PALESTINIAN PRIME MINISTER QUITS

 

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:

The Secretary-General appreciates Salam Fayyad’s strong efforts during his tenure as Prime Minister.  He commends Mr. Fayyad’s leadership and his commitment to improving the lives of all Palestinians.  The Â鶹APP looks to build on his achievements for the Palestinian State-building and development agenda, and will continue to work with the Palestinian leadership, under President Mahmoud Abbas, on achieving the two-State solution.
