Geneva to Host ‘Peace Is Possible — Frameworks for a Way Forward’ Conference In Support of Israeli-Palestinian Peace, 29-30 June

The Âé¶¹APP Palestinian Rights Committee will convene the Âé¶¹APP International Conference in Support of Israeli-Palestinian Peace at the Âé¶¹APP Office at Geneva on 29 and 30 June.

Experienced peace negotiators, international experts including from Israel and the State of Palestine, as well as from the Âé¶¹APP, civil society and academics, will gather at the Palais des Nations to discuss lessons learned from past initiatives related to the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and assess recent initiatives by key actors.  The Conference intends to promote a discussion of new ideas for a lasting solution to the conflict.

The opening session will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, 29 June, in Room XVII at the Palais.  Expected to participate in the conference are Riad Malki, Foreign Minister of the State of Palestine; Fodé Seck, Chairman of the Committee; Michael Møller, Director-General of the Âé¶¹APP Office at Geneva; Miroslav Jenča, Âé¶¹APP Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs; Ayman Odeh, Head of the Joint List in the Israeli Knesset; senior Palestinian peace negotiator Mohammed Shtayyeh; Gadi Baltiansky, Director of the Geneva Initiative-Israel; and others.
