  Pursuant to article 39 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, I have the honour to request the participation of Yahya A. Mahmassani, Ambassador and Permanent Observer for the League of Arab States to the Â鶹APP, in the open meeting on the situation in the Middle East, including the question of Palestine, scheduled for this afternoon, 17 April 2006.
