On 30 August, the UN Palestinian Rights Committee convened a Committee Meeting in the Â鶹APP Trusteeship Council Chamber at UNHQ in New York. During the meeting, the Committee reviewed and formally adopted its annual report?to the 2024 General Assembly (document?), which outlines the Committee¡¯s activities, priorities, and recommendations for advancing the rights of the Palestinian people. The Committee reiterated its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people¡¯s inalienable rights to self-determination, independence, and statehood.
The Permanent Observer Mission of the State of Palestine briefed the Committee on the recent development in Palestine and on the draft resolution on International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion on the legal consequences arising from Israel¡¯s policies and practices in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and from the illegality of Israel¡¯s continued presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
