Your dedication and passion are truly inspiring!<\/p>\n<p>This is just the beginning! The momentum is building and the need for action towards a healthier, more equitable and peaceful planet is ever-present. Let&#8217;s set our sights on securing a more sustainable, just and peaceful future and continue to take impactful actions!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how you can keep the movement going: take action during the <span style=\"color: #046b99\"><a style=\"color: #046b99\" href=\"https:\/\/hlpf.un.org\/2024\">High-Level Political Forum<\/a> <\/span>(HLPF)!<\/p>\n<p>HLPF is the central UN platform for the follow-up and review of the <span style=\"color: #046b99\"><a style=\"color: #046b99\" href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/\">Sustainable Developments Goals<\/a><\/span> (SDGs). The 2024 HLPF is taking a closer look at the following SDGs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Goal 1: No poverty<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Goal 2: Zero hunger<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Goal 13: Climate action<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Goal 16: Peace, justice and strong institutions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Goal 17: Partnerships for the goals<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is a time for countries to showcase where they\u2019re at on SDG progress and renew their commitments for a more sustainable future. <strong>But we all have a part to play.<\/strong> Here are some actions that you can take to speak up on the SDGs:<\/p>\n<p><strong>GOAL 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Donate what you don\u2019t use anymore.<\/li>\n<li>Advocate for better work opportunities and wages.<\/li>\n<li>Reuse products where you can rather than tossing them out. Join the circular economy!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GOAL 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Throw away less food. Make sure to check expiration dates and re-use any leftovers for new recipes!<\/li>\n<li>Support your local food bank by either bringing items or volunteering your time.<\/li>\n<li>Consider buying in-season food and if you can, grow some of your own!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GOAL 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Walk, bike, or take public transportation where you can.<\/li>\n<li>Clean up your environment! Whether it\u2019s your local park, river or beach.<\/li>\n<li>If you have access to a garden, consider planting native species to support local biodiversity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GOAL 16<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Confront hate speech and discrimination. Change begins with conversations in our social circles.<\/li>\n<li>Stand up for your rights! Join peaceful rallies on issues that matter to you.<\/li>\n<li>Promote a fair, equal and diverse work culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GOAL 17<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Speak up to your local and national governments on the issues that matter to you.<\/li>\n<li>Vote \u2013 and register if you haven\u2019t. Your vote matters in shaping a brighter future for all.<\/li>\n<li>Support socially conscious brands and fair trade products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are just some of the ways that you can contribute to a more sustainable future for all. Let\u2019s keep the momentum going towards the <span style=\"color: #046b99\"><a style=\"color: #046b99\" href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/summit-of-the-future?utm_source=partner&amp;utm_medium=app&amp;utm_id=SoF2024-challenge\">Summit of the Future<\/a> <\/span>in September! Speak up and show leaders that people worldwide are taking a stand for a more sustainable future.
