The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) logo, including the colour wheel and 17 icons are available for use in the six official languages of the UN (Arabic<\/a>,\u00a0Chinese<\/a>,\u00a0English<\/a>,\u00a0French<\/a>,\u00a0Russian<\/a>,\u00a0Spanish<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Please note that the SDG logo with the UN emblem is only available to UN System partners. All other entities should use the SDG logo without the UN emblem. You are free to use the Sustainable Development Goals icons and colour wheel as per our guidelines<\/strong><\/a>. Any use of SDG branding for fundraising and commercial use requires prior written permission.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Do commercial entities require approval to use the SDG branding for informational purposes? <\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

Permission is not required for uses that are primarily illustrative, such as in presentations, internal newsletters, non-financial or annual reports and other corporate materials to communicate organization\u2019s SDG-related activities and support for the SDGs. SDG logos and icons must always be used in accordance with the UN’s SDG Guidelines which can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>What types of uses are not permitted?<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

The logo\/icons\/wheel may not be used in any manner which implies Â鶹APP endorsement of the products, services or activities (e.g. in the context of promoting or advertising products, services, or activities) nor may they be used for the purpose of self-promotion or obtaining any personal financial gain. Any use of SDG branding without a clear alignment with the spirit and objectives of the SDGs will generally not be permitted.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

If you intend to use the SDG logo, wheel or icons for commercial or fundraising purposes, or any usage other than described in the guidelines (for UN entities only), please submit a sample or mock-up illustrating the proposed use of the icons or logo, along with a description of the desired use\u00a0using the online Permission Request form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Is a licensing agreement needed for each use of the SDG branding?<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

Licensing agreements will be issued for larger scale collaboration projects with the Â鶹APP. For other cases, a written permission will generally be provided.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Can I create a new logo design in combination with the SDG wheel?<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

No. Non-UN entities are not permitted to incorporate the SDG wheel or its elements into a separate logo design or use it as part of the entity\u2019s own logo or branding elements.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Do I need permission to use SDG branding in a print or web publication?<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

Prior written permission is required to use SDG branding in print or digital books, magazines, newspapers, reports or other types of written materials. To request permission, please submit a request according to the instructions above.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Do I need permission to use SDG branding for conferences and seminars that are not free to attend?<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

Yes. Permission is required to use SDG branding on all event related materials (invitations, fliers, banners, posters, etc.) where registration fees apply.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
