Eva Schafer is Deputy Team Leader of the Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs team in the Office of the President of the General Assembly.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n She previously served as Adviser on Gender Equality and Public Health in the Office of the President of the General Assembly during the 72nd and 73rd sessions. In this capacity, she led the preparation of the General Assembly high-level events on Women in Power, Non-Communicable Diseases and ending Tuberculosis.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Prior to joining the Office, she worked as Third (Human Rights) and Fifth (Budget) Committee Delegate at the Permanent Mission of Hungary to the Â鶹APP (2011-16). Among her diplomatic assignments, she served as Vice-Chair of the Conference of State Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and co-led negotiations on behalf of EU Member States in the Fifth Committee during Hungary\u2019s EU Presidency.
