He previously served as Chief Legal Adviser and Team Leader for Â鶹APP Reform, Budget and Legal Affairs in the Office of the President of the 75th session of the General Assembly. Previously, from 2015 to 2020, his work was focused on international law and human rights issues at the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the Â鶹APP.<\/p>\n
He has been working on international law since 2005, including at the Office of the Legal Adviser of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2007 and 2013-2015) and at the Embassy of Argentina to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (2007-2012).<\/p>\n
Among his diplomatic assignments, he has been part of several delegations in international conferences related to Public and Private International Law, including as Chairman of the Special Commission of the Hague Conference on Private International Law in 2012, legal adviser of the Argentine Delegation at the International Court of Justice in the Pulp Mill Case (2007-2010), member of the Management Group of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Working Group on Bribery (2014) and chairman of the Group of Friends of the International Criminal Court in New York (2019-2020).<\/p>\n
He is a lawyer who graduated from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (Santa Fe, Argentina). He was also a scholar at the National Foreign Service Institute (ISEN) in Buenos Aires (2003-2004) and international fellow at the Rio Branco Institute in Brasilia (2004). He speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese, Dutch and French, and has some basic knowledge of Italian and Chinese.<\/p>\n
