She focuses on African peacebuilding and sustaining peace.<\/p>\n<p>Khalilah is a career diplomat and a lawyer with a combined working experience of 14 years in the public and private sector. She joined the legal and consular bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana in January 2013, and has since worked on a broad portfolio of public international law and international affairs issues.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining the Office of the President of the UN General Assembly she was Ghana\u2019s alternate negotiator and legal expert on the newly adopted Agreement on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).<\/p>\n<p>Her portfolio in the capital included human rights, migration, and legal advisory services.<\/p>\n<p>Khalilah is a senior solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of Ghana and holds a Masters Degree in International Affairs from the Legon Centre of International Affairs and Diplomacy, University of Ghana. She is also a beneficiary of the Â鶹APP Regional Course in International Law.
