Adviser\u00a0<\/span>| Sustainable Development<\/span><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Eva Sch\u00e4fer is an adviser on sustainable development in the Office of the President of the 72nd<\/sup> session of the Â鶹APP General Assembly.<\/p>\n

Eva is a career diplomat in the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Between 2012 and 2016, she was a human rights expert at the Permanent Mission of Hungary to the Â鶹APP in New York.<\/p>\n

During this period, Eva served as Hungary\u2019s delegate in the General Assembly\u2019s Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee (Third Committee) and as Vice-Chair of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) Conference of States Parties for the Eastern European Group (EEG). She was also actively engaged in the negotiations on the 2030 Agenda during Hungary\u2019s chairmanship of the Open Working Group on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n

Prior to her posting, Eva worked on UN budget and reform issues in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Budapest. During Hungary\u2019s European Union (EU) Presidency in 2011, she represented EU Member States in the budget negotiations of the General Assembly\u2019s Administrative and Budgetary Committee (Fifth Committee).<\/p>\n

In addition to her career in the Hungarian foreign service, Eva also worked for UNICEF and the EU Delegation in Washington, DC, in the United States of America.<\/p>\n

Eva has a Master\u2019s degree in International Relations from Corvinus University in Budapest. She speaks English, German, Hungarian, Spanish and some French.<\/p>\n

Ambreen Fatima Anwar Husain is an intern with the Office of the President of the 71st Session of the Â鶹APP General Assembly, New York, focusing on political issues. She is a graduate of Dr. RML National Law University, India, with a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Prior to her internship with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Ambreen worked at an Intellectual Property law firm in India, with a particular focus on trade marks. While pursuing her Bachelor\u2019s course, she interned with the Women\u2019s Rights Cell of Lawyer\u2019s Collective, where she analyzed the trends in judicial announcements relating to the law of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence. While pursuing \u00a0additional internships in areas varying from intellectual property rights and corporate law to human rights law, she developed her skills in research and writing.
