Adviser and Speechwriter<\/span><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cianna serves as an Adviser and the Speechwriter for the President of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly.<\/p>\n

She joined the Office of the President of the UN General Assembly from the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the Â鶹APP in New York, where she was the focal point for Security Council affairs related to Sub-Saharan Africa, Sustaining Peace, and the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda.<\/p>\n

Prior to her time at the Irish Mission, Cianna worked for the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) from both Rome and New York. She served in various roles related to advocacy and program implementation, with a focus on rule of law initiatives in South Sudan. She also brings experience in the area of human rights advocacy, gained through her previous work with projects and events affiliated with Amnesty International.<\/p>\n

Cianna received a Bachelor in Laws and Master of Arts from the School of Law at Trinity College Dublin, as well as a Diploma in International Relations from Sciences Po, Paris.<\/p>\n

Ambreen Fatima Anwar Husain is an intern with the Office of the President of the 71st Session of the Â鶹APP General Assembly, New York, focusing on political issues. She is a graduate of Dr. RML National Law University, India, with a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Prior to her internship with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Ambreen worked at an Intellectual Property law firm in India, with a particular focus on trade marks. While pursuing her Bachelor\u2019s course, she interned with the Women\u2019s Rights Cell of Lawyer\u2019s Collective, where she analyzed the trends in judicial announcements relating to the law of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence. While pursuing \u00a0additional internships in areas varying from intellectual property rights and corporate law to human rights law, she developed her skills in research and writing.
