He heard about their difficult tasks and substantial achievements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Jordan is one of the countries with most refugees compared to its population and has in recent years received several hundred thousand refugees from Syria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The President was informed about school programmes for refugee children, the polio vaccination programme, the cash assistance programme for refugees &#8211; just a few of the many activities lead by the UN funds and programmes in Jordan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Sustainable Development Goals and the actions that should be taken in order to achieve a fast implementation were also discussed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"woo-sc-divider\"><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the General Assembly on Tuesday visited the UN in Jordan and had a meeting with all 17 funds and programmes in Amman.
