SIDS GLOBAL BUSINESS NETWORK FORUM 2026 AND ISLAND INVESTMENT FORUM

The Forum will be held primarily in person in the Maldives, complemented by digital outreach to broaden visibility and engagement. It will run over 2.5 days, featuring high-level plenary discussions, thematic sessions, networking opportunities, an MSME Marketplace, investment showcases, focused partnering sessions, deal rooms and field visits.

The programme will be designed to support a progression from priorities to opportunities, from innovation to implementation, and from dialogue to practical follow-up. Alongside the main sessions, dedicated spaces will be created for governments, investors, MSMEs and partners to engage in more focused discussions.

Expected Results

The Forum is expected to contribute to:

• Increased visibility for SIDS enterprises, investment opportunities and locally driven solutions;
• Stronger engagement between SIDS governments, MSMEs, investors, private-sector actors and development partners;
• Presentation of curated SIDS investment opportunities to potential partners and investors;
• Identification of partnership and investment leads for further follow-up;
• Wider exchange of practical experience in areas such as finance, digitalization, resilient tourism, renewable energy and MSME development;
• Strengthened understanding of the enabling conditions required to support private-sector-led sustainable development in SIDS; and
• Greater momentum for ABAS implementation through partnership-based and investment-focused collaboration.
