LDCs at the 2022 UN SDG Investment Fair

1-2 December 2022. The UN SDG Investment Fair promotes high impact sustainable development projects in emerging and frontier markets. It is a platform for connecting investors, private and public institutions, and representatives from UN agencies to facilitate dealmaking in investment projects that advance the Sustainable Development Goals.

LDC Future Forum 5-7 October 2021

The LDC Future Forum will bring together the academic community, policymakers and practitioners to solicit new thinking on the challenges and make policy recommendations for LDCs for the next decade. It will contribute to the Fifth �鶹APP Conference on LDCs (LDC5), taking place in Doha in January 2022, addressing structural challenges and emerging issues faced by LDCs. We will also debate and introduce policy recommendations that can support LDCs in achieving the SDGs, build their ability to compete in the global economy, and eventually move towards convergence with other more developed economies.

With generous support from the Government of Finland, the Forum is being organised by the �鶹APP Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) in collaboration with the �鶹APP University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN).

30 August - 2 September 2021. The Asia-Pacific Regional Review will undertake a comprehensive appraisal of the implementation of the Istanbul Programme of Action in Asia-Pacific LDCs, share best practices and lessons learned and identify obstacles and constraints encountered. The meeting will identify effective international and domestic policies in the light of the outcome of the appraisal as well as new and emerging challenges and opportunities and the means to address them. It is further expected to put forward specific recommendations on strategies and policy measures at the national, regional and global levels to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals by the Asia-Pacific LDCs.
