The past decade has witnessed a sharp rise in conflicts across the Arab region. These conflicts have proven more fluid, protracted and complex, damaging the region\u2019s rich cultural landscape, while undermining human security and opportunities for sustainable development. Against this backdrop, the Arab Committee for Sustainable Development requested the League of Arab States (LAS), in partnership with the Âé¶¹APP, prepared a regional Report on Attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Conflict-Affected Countries in the Arab Region.<\/p>\n
This special session focuses on the findings and the follow-up to the Report, including the recently established Multistakeholder Coordination Mechanism at LAS with support of a technical team comprising of UN and non-UN partners and operating across the humanitarian, development and peace nexus.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
