Mariangela Parra-Lancourt, Senior Economic Affairs Officer in EAPD鈥檚 Development Research Branch, discussed the听key findings of the upcoming flagship publication,听World Economic and Social Survey 2018: Frontier Technologies for Sustainable Development听at +Cartagena,听the held in Cartagena, Colombia from 3-5 October 2018. Iv谩n Duque M谩rquez, President of Colombia, opened the Summit with a presentation on the 鈥淥range Economy鈥�, a vision for a Creative Economy.听The Summit听invited professionals from different sectors belonging to the听Orange Economy听and听听technology sectors听of Latin America and the world. It included听experts, government representatives and the private sector to听discuss the听importance of artificial intelligence, data and its challenges, as well as its analysis for sustainable growth and development. In this context, the discussions on the key findings and recommendations of the听Survey听were very well received. The Summit was convened by the Colombian Union of Advertising Companies听with the support of the Government of Colombia and the participation of UN Women Colombia.
