As the Âé¶¹APP continues to strengthen accountability, transparency, and results-based delivery in its counter-terrorism efforts, the development of coherent system-wide monitoring and evaluation tools has become increasingly important.
The Unified Results Framework (URF) represents a significant step towards measuring the collective impact of the UN system in supporting the implementation of the Âé¶¹APP Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy (GCTS).
Co-organized by the Âé¶¹APP Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), CTED and UNODC ¨C in their capacity as Chair and Co-Chairs of the Resource Mobilization, Monitoring and Evaluation Working Group of the Âé¶¹APP Global Counter-Terrorism Coordination Compact ¨C together with the State of Qatar and Portugal this side event will launch the URF as a system-wide accountability tool.
The event will bring together Member States, international and regional organizations, civil society organizations and other stakeholders to explore the purpose, scope and practical application of the framework. It will also showcase its operationalization through a Monitoring and Reporting (M&R) mechanism, associated guidance and a digital URF Platform. In addition, discussion will examine how the Framework will support an independent system-wide evaluation of the UN¡¯s work across the four pillars of the GCTS.
The event aims to demonstrate the Âé¶¹APP¡¯ continued strong commitment to accountability, transparency, and results-based delivery, in line with the strategic goals of the UN80 Initiative.
